What does therapy look like for you?
You decide how much you would like to share during sessions and we will collaborate on what you would like to work on. There is no pressure when it comes to sharing your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sessions are oriented towards helping you at the pace you feel comfortable with.
It takes commitment and effort to start seeing change.
To prevent feeling overwhelmed, and to encourage feelings of motivation, we will set realistic goals and discuss reasonable steps towards reaching them. This includes developing healthy coping techniques to decrease symptoms and improve mood.
Sessions
Sessions are conducted over a HIPPA compliant platform SimplePractice, for all individuals ages 16 and up.

Hi! I'm Lena, the therapist and owner of Mindful Waves
Seeing my clients progress towards their goals and start to heal is a very rewarding part of my job.

Through experiences I have had in my personal life, I've recognized that every difficulty led to increased empathy towards others and their struggles.

A holistic viewpoint allows for my clients to explore all parts of themselves. This encompasses their values, priorities, beliefs, relationship dynamics and more.
​
Outside of the work I do in sessions, my passions revolve around nature. Self-care is an important part of having a balanced lifestyle, which I encourage my clients to explore during sessions.
